The Sol Arts Gallery and Performing Space in Albuquerque is a unique platform for local artists to showcase their talents. With the vision of encouraging local creative talent and providing them with an opportunity to display their work, the gallery is the labor of passion of five, extremely talented young women, Kirsten Loree, Annie Giannini, Maryra Errin Jones, Jenette Isaacson and Laira Morgan.
You can browse though numerous paintings and photography exhibits in the gallery, watch a play at the Performing Space or even enroll for a lesson in voice culture. The gallery organizes several workshops by artists and actors which range from lectures about the Creative Movement to tips on improving your painting or singing technique. The Performing Space also hosts concerts by the most popular bands in Albuquerque. Tickets for the events that are organized here are extremely affordable, with special discounts for seniors and students.
If you'd like to stage a performance or exhibit your work, you can address your proposal to Kirsten Loree. Sol Arts will also aid you in advertising your event by putting out posters and posting flyers for you. The gallery is open to any and every kind of creative talent; be it dancing, photography, music, painting or theatre. As Ms. Loree says, 'Sol Arts is vital ground for any kind of creativity.' The gift shop also known as the Thrift Store is open from 2 pm to 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and an hour before every show.
Whether it is an exhibition you're looking for, or a stage to parade your acting skills, you'll certainly find it all at Sol Arts. To know what's currently playing at the Performing Space and to submit your proposals, you can either call 505-244-0049 or refer to the website http://www.solarts.org .
