At the Rio Grande Zoo, you can watch more than 250 species of native and exotic species of wild-life gambol through the 64 acres in carefree abandon. The Tingley Beach comprises of three ponds created in the 1930s by diverting water from the Rio Grande. This Beach comprises the recreational area of the Biological Park with a snack bar, a station for the Rio Line which connects the Park's facilities. In the summer months, concerts and picnics are organized in the park and Christmas sees the place decorated with thousands of little lights to celebrate the 'Festival of Lights.'
