When taking a trip along the Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway in New Mexico, you will not want to pass up Tinkertown Museum
When taking a trip along the Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway in New Mexico, you will not want to pass up Tinkertown Museum. Located just 20 miles from Albuquerque, Tinkertown represents the life's work of Ross Ward, a gifted craftsman and imaginative artist. The museum was founded in 1983, but the artist began creating the components of it more than 30 years earlier. And what began as a small museum has evolved to a roadside attraction that draws 20,000 visitors a year. Tinkertown has thousands of miniature, wood-carved figures that are all put together to form this exhibit.

These animated little people, instruments, animals and objects will amaze and delight you as they "perform." You will see miniature Western towns, carnivals, Old West memorabilia, old-fashioned arcade machines, dolls, antique tools and more! Don't miss this amazing, fascinating, magical place.
