Senor Frog's in Acapulco, Mexico

Located on Carretera Escenica is a vivacious little restaurant named Senor Frog's, an amalgamation of great food and peppy ambience that is sure to pull you into its swing!

The restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the aquamarine bay, but the constant flurry of animated activity that Senor Frog's is most famous for, will not grant you a moment's respite to gaze out dreamily at the sun-kissed vista. There's plenty to do once you're here. When you're not being chased by a tequila-squirt gun, you can do your best to down the legendary 'Muppet' in a single gulp or even swing to the beats of the live music the restaurant features.

The food at Senor Frog's more than matches up to the extraordinary surroundings... your meal at Senor Frog's can be as elaborate as you want it to with appetizers like Aqua Tacos, which are Mexican Lettuce Wraps stuffed with grilled chicken, cactus leaves, panela cheese and tomatoes, drizzled over with a cilantro vinaigrette, or try the Sombrero Plate if you're famished and devour the chicken wings, fried shrimp, piquant curly fries, chicken flautas and everything else the chef mounds on a gigantic platter, with some homemade salsa. There are also are a variety of hearty soups you can choose from which includes the creamy black bean soup, which you can top with a choice of six garnishes or even some of Senor Frog's legendary salsa. Seafood aficionados will relish the lobster soup, which is delicately flavored with smoked spices and can even complement it with a Shrimp Pibil Caesar salad. If you're looking for something more carnivorous, try the beef taco salad which features shreds of Sonora beef, or the Fajita Salad which has a grilled skirt steak doing the honors.

Entrees arrive next in all their chicken, beef and pork glory from which you must try the succulent grilled chicken breast which is served on a bed of Mexican rice with refried beans and chiltomate and comes highly recommended. If you are more of a beef lover, there is the Winter Sabana you can try, which has a beef filet topped with refried beans a green salad and oodles of melted Monterey Jack cheese. There is also an extensive selection of Mexican savories and even a few sandwiches which you can opt for if you aren't feeling that hungry.

Deserts are in a league of their own with paper thin Cajeta crepes, and the sinful chocolate mousse shot which, as the name suggests, is served in a shot glass and garnished with chocolate shavings.  And you can wash it all down with pitchers of ice-cold beer, or even sip on an interesting margarita or two.
