Located amidst a small fishing village, Playa Pie de la Cuesta is approximately 15 kilometers north of the downtown section of Acapulco. Many have described it as the perfect vacation destination, especially if relaxation is on your agenda.
You'll be relaxed, but you won't be bored as this spots has a good variety of beach clubs and restaurants such as Villa Rubí and Tres Marías. Swimming, however, is not recommended because the surf is very strong due to this being on open sea. You'll love camping out and lying on the beach with the fine white sand. On one side of the ocean you'll find swells with jet skiing, waterskiing or fishing on the fresh water lagoon on the other side. All you'll find in between the two is a narrow strip of land. It's close enough to Acapulco to allow you to get there quickly yet it's set far enough apart to still guarantee you the privacy and seclusion you may desire for your vacation. When you're here, you're getting a great sample of the real Mexico.
Whether you're doing a little shopping, relaxing on the beach or dining in one of the fabulous restaurants, you'll thoroughly enjoy this spot. Many have raved about the garlic shrimp dinners, Coco Locos or dining on the beach in front of Tres Marías, where you'll get excellent service. This is definitely a vacationer's paradise.
