Located at Costera Miguel Alemán, El Cabrito is an interestingly themed restaurant which specializes in rustic Mexican fare.
The restaurant couldn't have chosen a better name for itself as the term El Cabrito literally translates into 'the goat'. And if you haven't caught on as yet, that's just what EL Cabrito is most famous for. Of all the ways to devour succulent cuts of kid that the restaurant offers, is to ask for a helping of Broiled Cabrito, which is served with Charro Beans. This dish, which hails from the northern frontiers of Mexico, is tender and well-spiced... and will soon have you mopping up the last bit of gravy with the traditional flour tortillas that the restaurant makes in-house. To pique up your meal, you can also try the hot red sauce. You can accompany your food with a shot or two of tequila, if you're going completely authentic, or even try some ice-cold beer which works just as well.
One of the star attractions at El Cabrito are the enormous skewers on which the meat is broiled, right in front of your eyes. What's more, you can even choose the skewer that looks the most appetizing to you!
The restaurant also offers a beautiful view of the Acapulco Bay vista, and fresh breeze which wafts into the open-air terrace is terrific for working up a hearty appetite. All in all, if you're looking for an authentic, unpretentious experience in Mexican dining, then El Cabrito is one place you cannot afford to miss out on.
The restaurant welcomes diners from 1 pm to midnight, all through the week. For further information, you can call El Cabrito at 744 484 7711.
